I feel so fortunate to be a part of the amazing community of Parmalee Elementary.  This will be my fifth year teaching PE at Parmalee but I have several years experience from the many moves my family has made.  I earned my  Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education with a minor in coaching, and I recently completed my Masters in Health and Wellness Education.

I am passionate about promoting a healthy and active lifestyle and I believe a healthy body will promote a healthy mind.

In my free time I try to get out and enjoy the beautiful trails in the area.  I also love to cook, especially baking!  My son has become an avid golfer, so I’m trying to learn the patience and skills that come with the lifelong sport of golfing.

My husband and I have been married 21 years and we have one son, Kai.  Kai is a former Parmalee Panther and he now attends EMS.

I am looking forward to a fun filled year with your amazing child!

• Students will need to be prepared for PE class by wearing appropriate clothing for activity and the proper athletic shoes.  Please help your student remember to have the correct shoes for class on PE days.

• Parmalee’s field day will happen in the Fall due to our unpredictable Spring weather.  Details and Information will be sent home.  I will also be in need of parent volunteers to run stations.

• Please send in a doctor’s note if your student is injured and will not be able to participate in PE, so that I may plan accommodations if needed.

• 4th and 5th graders will participate in a fitness test at the beginning and end of year to assess their level of fitness and to set individual fitness goals for themselves.  These fitness tests are not a competition, but are meant to help students understand their strengths and weaknesses.
